Job Description
Business Banking (BB) supports over 3 million clients across the U.S. including 220,000+ clients that are aligned with one of our dedicated Business Relationship Managers. Business Banking serves the business clients with revenues up to $20 million. We are the leading bank for small businesses in our key markets, providing deposit and cash management services, payment solutions, and a broad array of lending products to meet our clients' access to capital needs.

The Business Banking Sales Strategy Support Director's role is to identify, develop and guide programs and initiatives designed to broaden the awareness and cross-business penetration across key strategic partners. This role resides within Business Banking Sales Strategy and is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships within Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Chase Wealth Management (CWM,)Commercial Banking, Asset & Wealth Management (AWM), and Investment Banking. This will require engagement of, and impact on various businesses and functional areas across the Bank to complete projects/initiatives. Business Banking partners with other JPMorgan Chase lines of business to provide our customers with a wide suite of products such as Merchant Card processing (Commerce Solutions), Cash Management (Treasury), Credit Originations and Digital.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development of a One Chase product offering for employees of Small Businesses, increasing awareness of and promoting the benefits of Consumer Banking, Investment Banking, Home Lending and Chase Auto
  • Establish Key Risk and Performance Indicators (KRIs/KPIs) and performance metrics to measure health and performance of targeted strategic partnerships with AWM, CWM, CCB One Chase Partners, INK and Merchant Solutions.
  • Represent Business Banking in strategic discussions on all product changes impacting different Line of Busines to shape the direction and impact on both bankers and clients
  • In support of the BB Racial Equity Commitment, lead the development of a new lending product, similar to Co-brand cards, that has embedded flexibility as it pertains to underwriting and loan attributes as well as enabling revenue and loss sharing.
  • Proactively partner with senior leadership and field management to educate them about various programs and solicit engagement, participation, and support
  • Orchestrate strategic business development and new partnership through participation and engagement across functions, operational areas and Lines of Business including: Field Management, Risk Management, Product, Finance, Credit Origination and Servicing, Technology, Client Experience, Sales Management, Branch Administration, Card, Chase Wealth Management, Private Wealth, Commercial Bank and Consumer.
  • Establish and maintain key metrics for each program to measure success; provide ongoing program updates to Line of Business executives, managers, HR, and other stakeholders; continually assess effectiveness of programs and make appropriate adjustments

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent judgment and independent decision-making ability with inclusive leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across different groups
  • Typically at least 10 years of experience, preferably in Business Banking or related Financial Services area; BB Field expertise strongly preferred to identify talent- and skill-development needs specific to the business
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills; able to effectively communicate with senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic and tactical initiatives simultaneously; Strong influence and prioritization skills with ability to influence senior decision-makers
  • Innovative and creative; able to generate new ideas; forward-thinker who can evolve programs with changing needs of business

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree, background in Business Banking or Partner Management is strongly preferred.
