Store / Sales Manager Jobs

We are seeking one outstanding retail leader to step into our Store Manager position. This candidate should be a strong salesperson who is highly organized, operationally-minded and dedicated to building and nurturing an all-star sales team through feedback, guidance and one-on-one training. This opportunity is an ideal fit for a candidate that has experience working in retail sales and is looking for a new challenge where their role and their contributions will be essential to the growth of our company.

The Store Manager will work directly in collaboration with Donna & Wayne Gunther, the business owners and founders of Surfing Cowboys, to ensure all store operations are being executed, the sales team is being effectively managed and all business needs of our Malibu location are being met. As Surfing Cowboys continues to expand operations, we are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible candidate that is interested in putting down roots and growing with us as we start an exciting next chapter in the Surfing Cowboys story.

The Store Manager, like our sales associates, should enjoy the art of storytelling and will act as matchmakers- pairing our customers with our unique and wide-ranging product selection in store. They should also feel inspired by the Surfing Cowboys lifestyle and aesthetic, as they are first and foremost, ambassadors of the brand and will be conveying our brand message to customers around the world.

Qualifications

5+ years retail sales, leadership experience a plus

5+ years operations and logistics experience preferred

Interest (or knowledge) of Surf Culture

Interest (or knowledge) of Americana, Mid-century Modern Furniture & Design

Experience selling both vintage and new merchandise

Flexible leader that is willing to adapt to our brand culture

Excellent written communication and computer skills

Problem-solver

Self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented and able to multitask

Adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the business

Highly proficient with technology, computers and Instagram

Experience with Shopify POS, Shopify E-Commerce and G-Suite preferred, Lightspeed POS experience a plus

Foreign language skills a plus

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Must be available to work weekends
