About the Role
Heyday is looking for a Store Planning Manager to support the success of our franchise location expansion. This role is responsible for the management, supervision and execution of new franchise shop build-outs. It will include (but not limited to) overall communication with associated franchise partners, vendors, and key internal stakeholders. Furthermore, will be responsible for feasibility review, budget and schedule management, design and construction coordination, and project closeout.
The main objectives of the position are to deliver new shop locations on time and on/under budget while ensuring brand standards and level of quality are being met.
This role reports to the Director of Franchise Shop Development and is a remote role. This role will require travel up to 40% of the time.
What You’ll Do
- Coordination of design drawings and construction documentation
- Conduct feasibility studies on potential locations
- Management of ongoing schedule timelines and budget tracking and communicate when budgets are at risk
- Facilitate bidding, tender and award of all vendors
- Support permitting process alongside hired expeditor and coordinate with architects
- Communicate with Franchise Partners and key internal/external stakeholders
- Tracking of submittals, shop drawings and samples
- Organization and issuance of project documentation via/on internal management platforms
- Assist in cost saving efforts for procurement and build-out fees
- Conduct weekly project Owner, Architect, and Contractor (OAC) meetings
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong communication
- High organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Revit
- Minimum 3 years in retail project management
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently and with teams cross-functionally.
- Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering, Architectural or another related field from an accredited program is preferred
- Scheduling may require occasional weekend and/or evening flexibility
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
