Manager Customer Planning & Development

SUMMARY:
The Customer Planning & Development Manager is responsible for partnering with sales in the development and execution of Customer Strategies. They lead Joint Growth planning in partnership with Sales, inclusive of score carding against joint growth initiatives. Leads customer portfolio penetration across all business segments by being the liaison between Sales, the Customer and the business. Drives customer initiatives in alignment with Customer, Business & Sales’ goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
serving as customer expert by championing the who, what, where, how and why. Drives customer project or product funnel and prioritization. Leads the creation of customer specific insight-driven solutions. Quarterbacks customer driven innovation by being the customer’s advocate throughout the process. Co-lead with sales, the development of customer strategies and execution of key initiatives. Orchestrates customized selling stories. Leads consumer and customer insight & trend analysis (industry, competitive, customer, customer’s consumer – leveraging both internal and external data and customer-specific data when available). Coordinates customer marketing activation and ongoing support, inclusive of managing design and execution of customer-specific customized POS collateral and merchandising tools as needed. Planning lead for all customer strategic meetings (T2T, JGP, QBR, innovation summits, etc.) Creates, maintains, and executes best in class customer experiences. Be the expert on assigned customers and their go to market process and guardrails. Assigned customers may include C-Store, Chains, FS Distributor or Retail customers.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Special Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment manage multiple tasks and projects influencing other team members to achieve project and timeline requirements. Creative and Strategic Thinker. Customer-centric mindset.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Education: Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: 5 plus years of formal and or business application experience in any of the areas of product management, product marketing, brand marketing, category leadership or business development. Person must be detail-oriented and a highly-skilled project manager able to manage several projects at one time.
• Computer Skills: Standard computer skills required especially in Microsoft Office Suite. Must demonstrate ability to turn data into insights and create a compelling story.
• Supervisory: No direct reports at this time. Travel: 6-8 domestic trips per year.
