SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Store House Clerk is responsible for the daily activities of maintaining inventory through our ERP System (SAP) – Receiving, Issuing and shipping functions. The incumbent takes ownership of inventory accuracy within warehouse and field locations by performing monthly cycle counts and verifications.
The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday 12:00AM - 8:00AM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for identifying and labeling materials
- Must be able to work independently
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and supporting areas
- The position may be required to work outside in adverse weather conditions due to the nature of the business
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Must have a valid driver’s license to pick up and deliver parts and supplies
- Must be able to learn and understand – Sales Force\PMMP Portal, Ariba, Concur systems
- Must be able to pass Hazmat CBT course
- Must be able to pass Amtrak’S RWP training
- 1-3 years in retail or warehouse experience
- Must be able to pass Forklift and Material Handling equipment testing
- Must comply w/Amtrak's Standards of Excellence, safety rules, and all other policies and procedures
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
The hourly range is $23.61 - $31.48 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment). In accordance with DOT regulations (49 CFR § 40.25), Amtrak is required to obtain prior drug and alcohol testing records for applicants/employees intending to perform safety-sensitive duties for covered Department of Transportation positions. If an applicant/employee refuses to provide written consent for Amtrak to obtain these records, the individual will not be permitted to perform safety-sensitive functions.
In accordance with federal law governing security checks of covered individuals for providers of public transportation (Title 6 U.S.C. §1143), Amtrak is required to screen applicants for any permanent or interim disqualifying criminal offenses.
Note that any education requirement listed above may be deemed satisfied if you have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
