As a Staff Technical Support Engineer, you will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring Stryker's Vocera solutions are properly and effectively deployed. You will use your technical expertise to investigate issues, research solutions, craft solutions, and deliver excellent customer service via telephone, e-mail, and the web. This is not a call center; our support team works together to take on technical challenges and provide a positive experience for our customers. Hours from 8 AM to 5 PM EST. Rare late shift work and on-call work on an as-needed basis.

What you will do:

As a Staff Technical Support Engineer, you will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring Stryker’s Vocera solutions are properly and effectively deployed.

You will use your technical expertise to investigate issues, research solutions, craft solutions, and deliver excellent customer service via telephone, e-mail, and the web.

Please note that this is not a call center; our support team works together to take on technical challenges and provide a positive experience for our customers.
What you need:

  • Strong understanding of relational database systems and SQL scripting
  • BA in Computer Science or related field, or additional 6 years equivalent work experience considered.
  • Proven experience working with Windows service and performance troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of tools such as Command line, power shell, performance monitor
  • MCSA or MCSE Certifications desirable
  • Working knowledge with SIP, PBX/telephony systems or related system equipment
  • Demonstrated experience with Tomcat or Apache and web service troubleshooting
  • Strong ability with log analysis, correlating multiple log types for deep dive analysis
  • 5+ years’ experience in customer technical support working in a hosted app environment
  • Knowledge of system administration and support knowledge of Server Virtualization Hypervisors such as VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • MS Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration certification preferred
  • Knowledge of and prior utilization of Cloud Services such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, Wireless (802.11 a/b/g/n) infrastructure systems a plus
  • Solid understanding of SSL/TLS certifications with a basic understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) understanding of authentication protocols such as LDAP and 802.1x

$73,100 - $117,200 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factor
