Highly motivated individuals with prior laboratory experience are being recruited. SRA responsibilities will include cell culture, CRISPR gene editing, molecular biology, biochemistry, genomic sequencing, immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry, spatial proteomics/transcriptomics, organoids and mouse models of meningioma.
Prior familiarity with these techniques is a plus, and a willingness to learn new techniques is expected. Current laboratory members include graduate, medical, and medical scientist training program students at UCSF as well as research residents and postdoctoral fellows.
This position will focus specifically on understanding how the tumor mutations in meningioma drive skull hyperostosis under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Eze Goldschmidt and David Raleigh. In addition, the successful applicant will receive direct mentorship from Dr. Raleigh, Goldschmidt and Eaton to ensure specific laboratory responsibilities are directed toward big picture career objectives – which can include clinical exposure to the operating room.
