Sr. Procurement Manager Jobs

A global leader in the financial services is looking to expand their IT Procurement team. In this role, the candidate will be a major asset to the strategic procurement division while undergoing a new transformation with a focus in cost-savings and strategy. Responsibilities:

• Maintain awareness of best practices in the marketplace and implement appropriate changes
• Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities in alignment with strategic, operating and financial objectives. Lead the negotiation and purchase of goods and services with a focus on the technology category. Partner with internal business clients to ensure that purchased goods and services meet their needs. Proactively seek ways to drive down total cost of ownership through competition and vendor relationships. Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Lead the development and management of RFx’s
• No supervisory responsibilities
• Drive ideas that will optimize year-over-year total cost of ownership
• Negotiate agreements that deliver value to our stakeholders ensuring service, quality and added value maximizing the supplier’s capabilities

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technology sourcing practices and business outcomes
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment with competing priorities
• Process driven with strong analytical acumen
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus
• Strong negotiation expertise with an understanding of key contracting concepts and legal terms
• Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
• Strong ability to build relationships and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization, including senior management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• ERP system experience

Education/Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, specifically in the technology space including contracting, sourcing and negotiations for consulting services and goods
• Supplier management and asset management experience
• Successful track record in a large procurement organization
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Supply Chain Management preferred
• Technology procurement experience (minimum 6 years

Certificates/Licenses:

• CPM or CPSM preferred
