WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
Campbell’s Infrastructure & Application Platforms team is seeking a Sr Service Manager to own and elevate Campbell’s IT Application Platforms function. The ideal candidate brings a passion for excellence combined with a continuous improvement mindset. This role is responsible for the operation, enhancement, development, and implementation of new capability for SAP Technical Services, Database Services, Enterprise Batch Services, and other mission critical application platforms.
The Sr Manager, Service Manager – Application Platforms:
1. Leads and manages the SAP Basis service for multiple single global SAP instances and other "bolt-on" systems which form the ecosystem for SAP at Campbell’s.
2. Leads and manages the DBA service with more than 1300 Microsoft SQL Server databases, 53 Oracle databases, and emerging database platforms like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, etc.
3. Leads and manages the Enterprise Batch Scheduling service with over 8000 jobs and 40,000 daily run instances of the jobs.
4. Drives the service provider to implement all ITSM disciplines for the above areas.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
SAP Basis
  • Observe strict compliance with key regulatory demands in designing and deploying SOX or any required controls
  • Lead the team during DR testing, and ensure that the DR test plan is fully usable in the event of an actual DR
  • Ensure that SAP systems are always performing optimally, and drive measures to proactively monitor the health of the system
  • Ensure all IT service management disciplines are implemented by the service provider and are performed effectively to meet or exceed the expected SLAs
  • Work with project teams to gather requirements, discuss solution options, provide timelines, provide cost estimates, lead proof of concept work, and eventually drive the team to deliver to the requirements as per the agreed upon timelines
  • Understand SAP business processes from an application standpoint in addition to the underlying infrastructure to effectively manage the SAP system by bridging the functional and technical IT teams
  • Manage and govern the service provider to ensure that all SAP systems (which include ECC, BW, APO, PO), the SAP HANA databases, and its ecosystem of "bolt-on" applications are always up and running
Database Services
  • Ensure compliance with evolving industry standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with vendors in negotiating reduction of cost-of-ownership for software products
  • Develop roadmap to modernize database platform with increased use of PaaS
  • Design and engineer database solutions to meet business and project needs including providing cost estimates, supporting project execution, and transitioning to ongoing support
  • Effectively manage DBAs to support Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL environments on-premise and within the Azure Cloud environment.
  • Drive all efforts of the team in maintaining database versions to N or N-1
  • Drive proactive capacity analysis on database servers and stay ahead of capacity requirements
  • Observe strict compliance with key regulatory demands in designing and deploying Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance
  • Manages the database estate and service provider for more than 1300 Microsoft SQL Server databases, 53 Oracle databases, and related projects and programs, including delivery of operations support
  • Oversee all aspects of service delivery obligations to ensure proper quality of service for all customers and stakeholders
  • Make recommendations on how to reduce hosting complexity/improve operational agility and efficiency
  • Govern a team in conducting all operational duties to guarantee smooth operation of database support services
Enterprise Batch Scheduling Services
  • Manage service provider by overseeing delivery of service to ensure batch jobs across the entire Campbell's landscape run successfully on schedule using Stonebranch as the job scheduling tool
  • Continually streamline the throughput process and ensure that the resolution of abends including providing logs and other pertinent information is complete within SLA’s
  • Own the technical recovery plan and oversee the execution for a disaster recovery test exercise and/or actual disaster declaration event
  • Enforce change control disciplines to ensure batch schedule integrity
  • Govern Promote to Production disciplines
  • Integrate non-centralized batch schedules and processes into the Stonebranch enterprise scheduler to facilitate a single global batch scheduling service which provides a common support framework
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
  • Enterprise Batch Scheduling
  • 5+ years SAP HANA Database Administration
  • 5+ years Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database Administration
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years SAP Basis experience
IF WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service database platforms
  • Experience with SAP on public cloud (ideally Microsoft Azure)

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$105,000.00 - $194,400.00
An individual’s base pay depends on a number of factors, such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation, such as a performance-based bonus and other short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on one’s first day of employment.
