  • Well-versed creating and reviewing internal content to ensure alignment with Yahoo culture & branding

  • Experienced in creating, developing and implementing cultural and diverse Workplace Experience programs and services

Responsibilities


Workplace


Design and implement a global hospitality program; visitor experience, event support and ambassador program


Ensure Yahoo team members have meaningful programs to promote success when collaborating at the office or while working remotely


Manage auxiliary employee facing and highly visible programs related to the office experience to include; food/snack program, offices supplies, transportation and mail/package services


Manage office support services programs related to fleet management and secure scanning functions


Ensure compliance with US (DOT and DMV) and International Transport policies


Lead discussions with internal Yahoo teams to develop and support global and regional, executive and branding events; responsibility and scope depend on team and level of support required


Develop and maintain strong partnerships; DEI & Culture, Events, HR, Business Leads and Supply chain logistics team to facilitate successful Workplace experience programs and services


Facility Operations & Projects


Manage contract relationships with multiple outsourced service providers and consultants who provide services related to facility operations and project management


Re-imagine, optimize and fine-tune operating model as it relates to fixed and variable services, third-party management and staffing to align with the Yahoo strategies


Own day-to-day operations and relationship with property managers


Develop programs and deliver operational success, scalability, service quality, customer satisfaction and business simplification to include; maintenance of critical systems and equipment, facility operations and break/fix items


Execute against the approved Real Estate Strategy and support acquisition / divestiture activities


Consult with, and assist in, identifying operational and management issues, opportunities and benefits relating to design and construction; Such consultation should include vendor, materials and equipment selection


Collaborate with Corporate Communications and internal teams to create proactive, meaningful messaging regarding Workplace programs, projects and initiatives for areas of responsibility


Prioritize, manage or support Capital/churn related activities; internal and external teams often include network, audio-visual, security, architect, designers, real estate, consultants, expeditors and general contractors, etc


Guide and interpret plans and renderings to ensure compliance with Yahoo brand design and programming standards


Participate in the annual facility operating and related capital budgeting process with a focus on Workplace Services and Facility Operations; asset end of life and churn projects


Partner with Security & EH&S team to ensure a safe and healthy workplace


Ensure owned or leased space and capital projects meet established standards, laws, regulations, procedures, and OSHA / Safety guidelines


Participate in internal investigations as needed


Experiences that will drive happiness in the role


  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year university; Business, Communications, Design, Hospitality, Real Estate or Social Science
  • Stand up processes with the ability to see the big picture
  • Experience managing third party service delivery models and providers of workplace experience, facility operations and real estate services
  • 10 years of progressive experience in Workplace Experience and Facilities operations management
  • Must have business acumen and financial management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrive in a globally distributed organizationWork the spirit of an entrepreneur and the philosophy of a self-starter
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and project management skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of building systems, engineering and property management practices
  • Experience using workplace tools (Google Workspace), service related ticketing systems (e.g, ServiceNow) and understanding of lease administration, building management systems and SaaS based productivity application
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships though solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work cross-functionally with people of various backgrounds and levels of seniority
  • Requires strong partnership across team members to ensure standardization where applicable
  • Awareness and understanding of Global Security and Operations Center (GSOC) functions to include threat & crisis management
  • Exhibit and maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends and practices to identify opportunities, risks, etc
  • Fluid in ability to create and develop cross functional programs & operational management and service delivery models

The compensation for this position ranges from $150,015.00 - $326,390.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
