Job Description

Fabletics is looking for a Sr. Director, Brand Marketing.
The Sr. Director, Brand Marketing reports to the CMO of the brand and will establish, build and lead all marketing efforts – ranging from marketing strategy and brand storytelling to the shopping experience and customer contact strategy.
The right candidate will have a brand marketing & storytelling background. They will have a strong background in building and driving the strategy, leading a cross-functional organization and leading a high performing team in a fast paced, high growth environment. They will be a hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and highly collaborative working style.
A key aspect of this new leadership role will be effectively partnering with and guiding both internal teams and external business partners who need to be aligned and bought into the brand’s strategic and creative marketing execution. The best candidate will bring strong business acumen mixed with a diplomatic approach that keeps both internal and external partners in sync, bought in, and effectively driving the business forward together.
The right candidate will be a strong brand marketer and creative storyteller, with experience developing and executing impactful integrated campaigns that drive both brand awareness and direct customer response. They will be customer-centric in their approach and an expert of analysis and interpretation of data, heavily focused on analytics and ROI to guide decision making. S/he is at the core, an expert in the digital space, and brings strength in team management, team development, cross functional collaboration, creative and strategic thinking, process development and execution.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include strategic partnership with Design, Merchandising, Planning and Production teams, and well-coordinated marketing leadership across all functions, from revenue driving channels including Site Experience and CRM to brand building functions such as Brand Partnerships, Social Media and Copywriting.
What you will do:
  • Collaborate closely with Product Creation team (Design, Merch, Planning, Production) to ensure alignment between final assortment and marketing strategy.
  • Establish, lead and scale a marketing team for a new women’s apparel brand.
  • Partner closely with the Fabletics’ Marketing Leadership team to create strategically coordinated campaigns.
  • Develop and execute innovative brand, ecommerce, site merchandising, retail marketing, CRM, social media, PR and brand ambassador strategies that align with brand and business goals and priorities.
  • As business scales beyond North America, drive global alignment and execution to ensure coordinated launches and maximum brand and business impact worldwide.
  • Play a leading role in the development and launch of the Brand Book and Brand Style Guide, including the brand DNA, brand voice, logo/trim, packaging, brand fonts, color palette, and more.
  • Drive marketing strategy across all channels & functions, ensure alignment, manage team of direct and indirect reports and drive execution.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure clarity and alignment around brand direction, key strategic decisions and business performance.
  • Dive into analysis of customer insights to improve customer understanding, strengthen customer acquisition and retention efforts, enhance targeted marketing campaigns, and drive key business strategies.
  • Seamlessly interact with third party business partner, driving all marketing approvals efficiently and within deadline.
  • Monitor all key business KPIs, ranging from selling channel (retail, ecommerce) and CRM data, to social media channels and more; develop and execute recommendations to optimize performance.
  • Set a productive and efficient organizational structure; hire, grow, mentor and develop a healthy, efficient and collaborative team, including dedicated and non-dedicated roles.
  • Coordinate and optimize cross functional marketing alignment processes across entire organization.
  • Develop and execute an impactful brand launch plan, followed by monthly and weekly campaigns that continue to resonate and beat growth expectations.
  • Develop strategic direction and oversee production of all marketing materials, such as mass email, site marketing, window signage, interior graphics and visuals, store & product packaging, and more.
  • Support the brand’s growth marketing efforts by developing marketing strategies and campaigns that support acquisition business targets and efficient CAC goals.
  • Serve as primary partner to the brand’s Creative Director and creative team; influence creative strategy and execution to support marketing stories; develop strategic creative direction and guardrails, and drive process development and creative approval flow.
  • Set high level marketing strategy and roadmap, get leadership buy-in, and drive execution.
  • Serve as a key partner to the Product (website) team to inform development, launch and future optimization of dedicated brand website as well as shop-in-shop experience on FL.com.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as productively partnering with cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of marketing experience with strength in strategic development, ecommerce platforms, brand building, storytelling and operations.
  • Strong knowledge in all aspects of digital and social media.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Proven success developing and implementing new, innovative ideas.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $157,770 – $203,500. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
