We’re hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Optum, in Home and Community.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting a variety of strategic initiatives which enhance our clinical network. This role will work closely with Clinical Leadership, Finance, Training, and Innovation Operations to maximize operating efficiencies and create seamless experiences for the members we serve. This role will also require you to build a narrative around the clinical network and demonstrate knowledge regarding strategy, execution, and alignment to maximize performance, achieve client targets, and sustain long-term operating discipline.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
- Ability to manage uncertainty, complexity and competing priorities
- Develops process workflows and standard operating procedures
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clients
- Facilitation of stakeholder meetings, data analysis, and the creation of compelling presentation to communicate key findings
- Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audiences
- Conduct workforce planning and management analysis to determine what gaps exist between the current and projected workforce needs in the short-term and long-term to develop mitigation strategies
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability to develop, collect, analyze, and report on workforce, mission, and other external and internal data
- Experience in analysis of business process and workflow and providing an evaluation, benchmark and/or process improvement recommendations
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in business
- Intermediate to advance abilities in Microsoft Excel
- 3+ years of turning data into a story and presenting to executive level leadership
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- 3+ years of demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, detail orientation, and the ability to quality check own work
- Health plan or healthcare experience
- Experience in improving network efficiency
