Location: Remote with option to travel for business needs
Basic Purpose:
The Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain Planning is accountable for leading change and overall improvements by collecting data and analyzing across all business units. This position will use the data analytics to drive high-impact and transformational initiatives that improve Supply Chain performance and reduce expenses. This role will work independently and cross-functionally on special projects as assigned and will be expected to identify and pursue new opportunities. This role is central in enabling data driven decision making for key strategic initiatives to support the Supply Chain planning team.
The incumbent will have deep technical and analytical skills in Planning and is responsible to drive continuous improvement cross-functionally by leveraging and applying best practices across all stages of the processes. This includes building relationships internally and externally. This position reports to the Sr/Director Supply Chain Planning and via a matrix will support the Business Team VP/GM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assure the company’s compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations related to purchasing and planning activities
- Design, develop and implement methods to gather and manage Supply Chain data
- Design/improve KPIs and maintain weekly service level scorecards; develop pareto of root cause for service level/fill rate issues monthly
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement and root cause analysis in weekly and monthly reporting; focus on expanding industry analyses for each business unit
- Champion analytics and fact-based decision making across organization
- Analyzes work processes with the objective of driving efficiency, service levels and cost reduction
- Perform detailed analysis to support the Supply planning process for internal and external manufacturing sites
- Create and design influential dashboards and reports that improve day-to-day tactical decision-making
- Additional duties as requested/assigned
- Ensure master and transactional data is maintained and updated as necessary for accuracy
- Partner directly with stakeholders and top management to conduct the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects
- Review and analyze data to identify gaps in the Supply Chain planning process and develop methods to improve upon them
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience Planning in Supply Chain or related area.
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Advanced Computer skills, strong proficiency in Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, or another relevant field
- ERP and/or Planning System experience; SQL experience.
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge in Purchasing and Planning best practices and proven application of these practices in a multi-category Consumer Package Goods company.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Excellent people skills, able to foster relationships quickly and manage multiple senior stakeholders; comfortable presenting to and working alongside senior management.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain KPIs (production attainment, OTIF, inventory turns, Fill Rate, GMROI).
- Proficient in a wide range of analytical, quantitative, and statistical techniques and tools to derive insights from large, complex data environments.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Advanced understanding of Purchasing and Planning fundamentals.
- Ability to design, code, debug, test document, and support server-based applications consistent with established business requirements
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to make clear business trade-off considerations.
- Manage conflicts with the best solution for the business in mind.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, must have a passion for quantifying problems, finding solutions, and implementing them.
- Advanced Excel knowledge, including at least one programming language not to be limited to R, SQL or Python.
- Experience analyzing and improving supply chain data, information, and processes.
