Sr. Supply Chain Manager
OTC/Nutritional Supplements Manufacturer
On-Site - Hauppauge, New York
The Sr. Supply Chain Manager leads and directs the planning, inventory management, and forecasting & reporting, areas of the Supply Chain.This position will work closely across multiple departments within the company providing leadership and guidance in support of the operational goals established by senior management.The Sr. Supply Chain Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations.
Ideal candidate will have prior Supply Chain Management experience in a solid dose OTC/Nutritional Supplements manufacturing organization.
Principal duties and responsibilities for this position include:
·Oversees all aspects of planning and scheduling, from pharmacy to packaging operations and coordinating finished product lab release to ensure customer ship dates are met
·Manages inventory levels and establishes controls on all finished goods, raw materials and components based on customer demands/forecasts in alignment with company objectives
·Works with Operations/Production Manager to ensure data integrity within ERP system, including routings, item master products, etc. as well as production tracking & reporting requirements to monitor departmental outputs and key performance metrics
·Works with the Purchasing Manager and Supply Chain Buyers to coordinate material delivery dates, establish safety stock levels in light of customer order lead times, and to meet the production plan
·Monitors supplier deliveries, lead times vs actual delivery receipt dates to ensure we have the most accurate data for purchased ingredients and components
·Coordinates daily production meetings with Production Manager
·Develops strategies, policies, procedures and overall team to optimize value of the entire supply chain function
·Consults with Operations/Production Manager and department heads as needed to plan production schedules regarding customer demands
·Plays a significant role in long-term planning, including capacity planning and project flow from beginning to end
·Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals
·Coordinates all projects with all responsible areas to assure ease of production flow
·Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans
·Establishes annual goals and objectives, (including stretch targets) in coordination with overall company objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment
·Participates in the implementation of the upgrade and transition to new version of the ERP system and optimize its use
Qualifications:
·Bachelor/Master’s degree in supply chain management, mathematics, business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology or industrial engineering
·Previous experience in supply chain management, production planning and/or procurement
·Must have advanced knowledge and understanding of data processing systems and windows applications of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Access
·Strong mathematical competencies, project team leadership and management experience
·Excellent ability to organize, prioritize, meet established deadlines and communicate effectively (verbal and written)
·Excellent management and leadership skills in order to effectively manage and interact with peers and subordinates
·Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, self-Starter and team player
·Knowledge in FDA GMPs (21 CFR, 211, 820, and/or 600); ISO 9001 and13485
·MRP manufacturing systems integration familiarity preferred
·Ability to build customer loyalty and build lasting customer relationships
·Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a high stress environment, under substantial time pressure
