Job Description

As part of our Human Resources team, you’ll help us attract, hire and retain the top talent we need to achieve our bold vision. What you'll do...

  • Supporting Personnel Relations activities and health and safety activities as required
  • Analyzing data and use technology to proactively identify and diagnose business needs / opportunities and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Investigating and preparing responses to grievances
  • Investigating employee concerns
  • Leading all recruiting and hiring of hourly and salaried employees
  • Partner with manufacturing and UAW to resolve job standards issues
  • Driving the development of the Labor Relations team and effectiveness of the HR office
  • Coaching, counseling, and educating salaried operations partners on HR policies, processes, programs, and strategies
  • Coordinating and assisting in UAW contract negotiations, implementation, and ongoing administration of the Master and Local Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Fostering an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values
  • Leading HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries / charges, grievance resolution, performance and absence management, complaints of unfair employment practices / discrimination, and disciplinary action
  • Building strong relationships with operations partners, Union representatives, HR colleagues and experts, and other business partners to deliver results and resolve issues
  • Analyzing workforce and attendance metrics
  • Driving local PDCs to develop robust development plans to support Delivery objectives, as well as retention of key talent.
  • Administering all aspects of Union Representative Compensation and developing labor representatives on this process

This will be a day shift 8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Split shift is required for at least 1-2 days a week.

You'll have...

  • Demonstrated experience with delivering HR process improvement actions
  • Self-starter with multitasking experience within a fluid, dynamic environment, including ability to manage time and resources
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft Outlook experience
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • 2+ years of previous HR experience in Labor Relations
  • Demonstrated conflict leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills

  • 2+ years of previous HR experience in Labor Relations working with union in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Previous union contract negotiations experience
