Petco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents and Petco partners. Position Purpose
Develop and execute email marketing campaigns in support of business initiatives. Enhance programs to create loyalty, increase retention, facilitate cross sell and improve overall ROI.
Essential Job Functions The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. 1. Manage the execution of daily email communications reaching over 17 million Petco guests. Write effective and compelling creative briefs, develop segmentation and personalization strategy to drive incremental profit and continuous improvement of email KPI’s. 2. Create email campaigns that align with Petco’s overarching multi-channel strategy and partner with internal Creative, E-commerce, Analytics, Marketing and Merchandising teams to formulate targeted content and cohesive customer engagement. 3. Ensure all Petco’s communications continue to provide compelling content and solution storytelling to our customers. Ensuring Petco is the most trusted source for pet parents. 4. Manage email marketing production schedules to ensure flawless and on time execution. Secure necessary approvals from all applicable stakeholders. 5. Analyze and interpret results from email marketing campaigns, share learnings with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in campaigns. 6. Develop a rigorous testing strategy for email marketing campaigns, including subject lines, dynamic content, creative layout, targeting, etc. 7. Stay on top of email best practice and consistently bring forward new ideas to test making Petco’s email program best in class.
Other Duties And Responsibilities
  • Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communications.
  • Respect all codes and policies related to customer privacy and DMA ethics.
  • Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and through team and peers.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
Planning and Problem Solving
Annual calendar planning for over 900 million touch points and integration of calendars across Category, Brand and Petco.com marketing.
This position collaborates across the organization to ensure we are effectively marketing the correct message at the correct time to the correct customers.
Education/Experience
  • Hands on experience with CRM marketing operations, technology, and campaign platforms (e.g. Responsys, Siebel, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, VerticalResponse, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing programs and developing strategies to increase customer lifetime value is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of email best practices including deliverability, personalization, subject lines, reporting, send time optimization, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Experience with a web analytics platform such as Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team and managing multiple projects at once.
  • 1-2 years email marketing experience, including segmentation and testing experience.

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
$64,800.00 - $97,200.00
