SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR
What You'll Do
The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the casino marketing team as a brand ambassador at Dreamscape’s new Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. The position will assist with event planning, greeting and guiding guests, and various special projects and events in the casino. The Special Events Coordinator will also assist with internal/employee focused special events.

What You'll Do
The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the casino marketing team as a brand ambassador at Dreamscape’s new Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. The position will assist with event planning, greeting and guiding guests, and various special projects and events in the casino. The Special Events Coordinator will also assist with internal/employee focused special events.
ROLES EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Ensure 3rd party vendors have appropriate access and training.
- Support logistics of drawings, promotions, slot and tables tournaments, awarding prizes, and the completion of winner’s logs and other required auditing and compliance paperwork.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all events related materials and gifts/prizes.
- Attend all casino events and assist in the overall event execution and supervision.
- Assist with event set up and tear down for all events.
- Maintain exceptional customer service at every interaction.
- Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Understands the basics of Title-31 in relation to their job functions.
- Research and input purchase orders for all event expenses (gifts, décor, entertainment, emcees, collateral, F&B).
- Assemble gift packages, mailers, welcome packets and other event related materials.
- Serve as a greeter, brand ambassador, usher and/or ticket taker for events.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights / holidays / weekends.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum 6 months related experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a casino-resort setting.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Must regularly lift and/move up to 20 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
