As a Sourcing Manager supporting strategic souring and procurement business, you will be trusted to work on analyzing expenditure base and identifying cost reduction projects at our Houston, TX site.
In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Optimizing the selection of suppliers, studying pricing options and examine total cost of ownership.
  • Driving cost saving alliances across departments and business franchises.
  • Ensuring site compliance to global procurement policies, legal policies, financial controls, quality directives and relevant SOPs.
  • Building strong internal and external procurement and management relationships.
  • Pursuing continuous improvement and risk reduction opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Confidence to present data mining findings to business partners and executives.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Strong analytical skills to influence budgeting and pricing options.
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships, both internally and externally.
