The Role

At IYK, the engineering surface is incredibly broad. Our stack ranges from hardware up through the traditional web2 stack, and ending at the blockchain itself.

As a Solutions Engineer at IYK, you will operate at the intersection of web2 and web3, working on building innovative solutions for our most important customers. Examples of work you would be doing include the Autograph module launch, Adidas POAP distribution, and IYK Card.

The ideal candidate for this role should be comfortable operating independently, and being comfortable talking engineering details and brainstorming on customer calls is a plus. We want you to be highly mindful of complexity in the core codebase, but recklessly productive outside of it.

This role involves a lot of spikes, and we’re looking for someone who can crunch through documentation and grok a new library quickly. If you were born and raised by hackathons, ran devops for your own side projects, or worked in fast-paced agencies before, you’re likely a great fit.

Our stack currently consists of:

• Solidity smart contracts
• Next.js (React, MobX, Stitches, Radix) frontend
• Nest.js (TypeORM, JWT auth) backend
• TypeScript
• Hasura GraphQL Engine
• PostgreSQL databases

As a solutions engineer, you'll collaborate with us to:

• Quickly spin up services adjacent to the core codebase
• Join customer calls when needed to add colour to engineering decisions and best practices (if interested)
• Work closely with the founders on building custom solutions for our most important customers
• Communicate directly with designers about engineering tradeoffs and desired user experience

Need to Have

• Experience setting up and maintaining simple devops (Vercel, Railway, Render, Heroku, etc.)
• Comfortable working with business development and design teams
• Experience building solutions across multiple architecture layers
• 2+ years of experience using Javascript/Typescript/Node.js
• Proficiency in Git and CI/CD and a solid understanding of GraphQL and SQL

Nice to Have

• Experience writing smart contracts
• Experience working with ethers.js, viem, or similar libraries
• Experience with other languages, bonus points for lower-level work with Rust, C++
• Interest in the intersection of crypto and consumer experiences
