Software Engineer Iv (Remote)

The Software Engineer IV is responsible for leading development, maintenance and support of web or data applications and advanced structured query language (SQL). This position does not have direct reports.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve severity level one production issues in a timely manner
• Lead development efforts for advanced SQL
• Optimize performance of web or data applications
• Serve as a primary resource for IT staff and end users in the development, usage and troubleshooting of web, database driven applications
• Prepare test data and analyze program performance during testing
• Design, develop, maintain, support and test advanced web applications in support of company operations
• Work along with other team members to create and maintain robust frameworks to support web or data applications
• Act as technical lead on specific projects
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Design and write advanced SQL queries and stored procedures to perform complex database tasks
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile/web technologies
• Deliver across the entire application life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to support
• Design, develop, maintain, support and test advanced data / ETL applications in support of company operations
• Lead development efforts for web or data based applications (C#, .NET, MVC, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, JSON, SSIS, SQL)
• Participate in analysis of information systems problems and the development of applicable solutions
• Mentor staff to improve skillset and career potential
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Build prototypes at scoping stage of projects

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor
• Ability to work with other team members in a team effort
• Understands how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills
• Minimum 7 years’ of experience in the creation of web applications
• A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with no or minimal amount of supervision
• Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment
• Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field
• Advanced skills in the following: C#, Visual Studios (specifically ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC), and Microsoft SQL Server
• Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues with minimal assistance and guidance
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and priorities
• Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills

The typical starting pay range for this position is between $112,300/year and $161,050/year, although wages can vary based on experience and geography.
