As a Social Media Specialist you will develop and implement social media strategy in support of brand business objectives across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Tik Tok. You will act as the voice, tone, and moderator of the brand through community support, content distribution, and digital engagement to build brand presence and trust online. As well as be the point of contact for online fans and followers to develop an intimate relationship with the online community.

What You Will Do

• Supports owned social needs for a portfolio of brands.
• Ensures social media plan and execution consistently deliver against each brand’s business goals and aligns with appropriate resource levels.
• Conducts analyses (with the support of Analyst) to identify the social media sites and promotional tactics of most interest to each brand’s target consumer.
• Manages and maintains social accounts and connections working in the respective platform back end (e.g. Facebook Business Manager); including profile, ad account and partner oversight for assigned brands.
• Develops overall social media plan with a focus on using social channels for assigned brands to support consumers throughout their journey.
• Develops and manages social media calendar and posting cadence.
• Defines and measures success by establishing goals and key performance indicators (KPI’s) by brand.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 year of social media, digital marketing, public relations, customer service, account management, or relationship management roles reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates Degree plus 4 years of social media, digital marketing, public relations, customer service, account management, or relationship management roles reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of social media, digital marketing, public relations, customer service, account management, or relationship management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Able to manage time while prioritizing multiple projects efficiently and independently in addition to day-to-day tasks.
• Experience using native social media platforms to manage social media accounts.

What Will Set You Apart

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of social media, digital marketing, public relations, customer Page 4 of 4 service, account management, or relationship management roles reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates Degree plus 6 years of social media, digital marketing, public relations, customer service, account management, or relationship management roles reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of social media, digital marketing, public relations, customer service, account management, or relationship management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience using native social media platforms to manage a company’s social media accounts.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or other social media platforms.

This position will be required to be on site 60% of the time, with an option to work remote (location flexible to Bay area) a couple of days a week.
