Our client is a consumer product company looking for a Social Media Specialist who has experience in the consumer packaged goods space.

This role does require being onsite 5 days a week in Van Nuys, CA.

The Social Media Specialist's primary responsibility is to assist the Social Media and Public Relations Team and assist in executing the Company’s strategic social media marketing programs and goals. Responsibilities will range from managing social media accounts (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.), composing posts, networking with industry experts, reporting data, monitoring social channels, implementing social and PR campaigns, among other duties.

• Assist with any additional production coordination regarding large upcoming event
• Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment regarding social media marketing programs and goals
• Monitor community dialogue and feedback, synthesize, and make recommendations for action under the direction of social media managers
• Act as advisory specialist to management on matters regarding strategic social media marketing programs and goals
• Plan, execute, and attend Blogger/Media conferences and events
• Moderates’ user comments on all social pages
• Actively participates in brainstorming sessions to find unique ways to promote social media presence
• Provides Social Media Team with support in creating and maintaining social media profiles across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.) including copywriting, posting, reporting and responding to fans/followers
• Analyze online data and create reports
• Create and monitor social media posts

Requirements:

• 2+ social media marketing experience in consumer-packaged goods industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/English/PR/Communications or similar discipline preferred.
• Passionate and driven.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
• Superior writing and editing skills and strong proofreading and grammar skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling positioning and messaging.
• Strong communication skills and a highly professional manner.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $22.00 - $28.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
