Job Description

The Role: The social media and community manager will own the go-to-market strategies for all organic social channels to align with Nara’s overall marketing strategy and product/brand campaigns. This role’s mission is to build an engaged community of new parents through creative content, influencer relationships, and obsessive data analysis to ensure ongoing optimization of creative content. This role will also manage other community building activities outside of social media, including events, unpaid partnerships, organic influencer marketing and content creation for our newsletter and blog.


Reports to: Meika Hollender - SVP, Marketing


Location/Onsite or Remote: Optional - NYC office at WTC (250 Greenwich Street, 39th Floor). If remote, must be comfortable working east coast hours.


IC or Leadership: Individual Contributor


Hands-on? This role will be very hands-on but will not be solely execution. This person will define and execute strategy, and purposefully grow the social media marketing and community efforts.



ABOUT YOU


  • Highly creative with a discerning eye for detail and excellent storytelling skills
  • Know how to tailor that content to different digital and social media platforms
  • Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage all community communications.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented—able to manage multiple moving pieces and retain a lot of information at once, all while striving for excellence.
  • Data oriented - Ability to analyze & interpret metrics around marketing performance, providing accurate and timely reporting
  • An understanding of the creative production process
  • Have the energy and drive to deliver the best work and be adaptable to time and budget constraints.
  • 4-6 years experience in brand content and social media channel expertise (social, influencers, partnerships, etc.) OR 4-6 years experience in social media for a media outlet
  • Proven experience managing workflows, project plans, scopes, and timelines
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and is able to develop engaging content


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay up-to-date daily with the media and news related to Nara’s category and related topics
  • Support exploration of organic partnership opportunities and execution
  • Conduct analysis of and deliver regular reporting on overall brand metrics
  • Work across the organization, and with external agencies, to ensure alignment of all initiatives across all channels based on business priorities
  • Lead organic social media strategy, creative and execution
  • Coordinate with Growth Marketing, PR and Creative teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Lead email newsletter content, execution, and optimization
  • Support brand budgeting process and calendar management
  • Responding to comments on social and customer queries
  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Own building the Nara community, engaging parents with excellent content and creating a space where people can participate


REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Have a deep understanding of the consumer goods space, a plus if baby/food product experience
  • Have excellent project management skills
  • Have ability to handle multiple initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced, start up environment
  • Comfortable with social media data and analytics
  • Relentlessly find new opportunities and generate new ideas while executing against required deliverables
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence management
  • Have demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrate keen understanding of the brand, and ability to deliver growth while elevating perception.
  • Be self-motivated with an ability to take initiative
  • Hands on experience with social media management for brands
  • Editorial experience is a plus
