POSITION: Social Media Community Manager
REPORTS TO: Brand Marketing Director
LOCATION: New York Tri State, Los Angeles, CA , PA, or OH (partial remote)
THE OPPORTUNITY: Social Media Community Manager
Birdy Grey is looking for a Social Media Community Manager to support our Brand Marketing and Customer Experience teams. As a Social Community Manager, you will assist customers and prospects with questions about Birdy Grey and our products, engage proactively with our community, evangelize the Birdy Grey brand by moderating discussions in social communities, and support strategic initiatives to increase brand visibility and engagement. Our ideal candidate has a genuine passion for connecting with people and representing the brand’s personality online.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively search key hashtags (e.g. #birdygrey, #wedtok, etc.) on all social channels to engage in conversations.
- Perform a weekly sweep of third party platforms, such as Reddit, The Knot, Wedding Wire, to answer questions or concerns and engage with the community.
- Lead the brand’s reputation management on social channels and flag to necessary parties.
- Respond to and engage with comments on all @birdygrey tagged posts.
- Work with the Social & Brand Content Manager and Social Media Community Associate to moderate the Facebook Birdy Brides group.
- Engage with existing bridal communities and build communities supporting brides and bridesmaids across all social platforms.
- Moderate and respond daily to customer comments on our owned social channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other social platforms).
- Show support and engage with customers tagging, mentioning, and hyping the Birdy Grey brand.
- Bring the brand vision to life as the brand’s voice in all social media channels.
- Regularly perform a sweep of past content for any unanswered questions or comments.
- Respond to customers reaching out on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media sites, with a helpful, friendly, and on-brand voice.
- Other tasks as directed by management.
- Manage our Real Wedding submissions via email and social media.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to act quickly and thoughtfully in fast-developing situations
- Must be a people-person with a passion for building online communities
- Ability to excel in a high volume workflow
- Love for and knowledge of dresses and fashion, especially as it relates to fitting various body types, pairing with shapewear, and matching with accessories
- Strong communication skills, excellent grammar, and experience using brand-specific language
- Ability to multitask and capable of working independently or in a team
- 4+ years of experience working in a Social Media Community Management role
- Up-to-date on social media trends and Gen z lingo
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
