About The Team

The Americas help deliver a personalized shopping experience and flawless access to inventory from down the street and around the world, as well as tailored shopping experiences, including customized buying and selling. eBay seeks to drive growth into new markets and drive value in the shopping and selling experience in building, accelerating, and reinventing. The team comprises marketing, merchandising, operations, business selling, consumer selling, and shipping. Our responsibilities include all aspects of the region, including operations in the US, Canada, and Latin America.

We are looking for an Associate Category Manager, Sneakers, to join our Verticals team at eBay. You will help own the Sneakers category. If you have a love of sneakers and sneaker culture, an ownership mentality, can build cross-functional relationships, and are ready to make an exciting move, we would love to hear from you!

The Opportunity

The role is to contribute to the overall Sneakers category strategy, supporting demand driving and delivering amazing customer experiences to grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing business performance metrics and providing recommendations
• Plan and execute deals, key cultural, and retail moments
• Own business KPIs and data analytics across marketing channels
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to drive cross-merchandising executions
• Drive engagement for eBay Sneakers by leveraging industry insights to develop relevant stories and executions for the business unit
• Work with Account and Category Managers to execute strategic initiatives holistically to deliver collaborations, partnerships and improve buyer/seller satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for sneakers with a broader interest in fashion & Luxury Goods; experience in the space and/or relationships with key industry players.
• College degree required.
• Strong analytical skills and business sense in sophisticated data environment; ability to make the data speak volumes about program performance, trends, and areas of opportunity.
• Motivated to grow with an entrepreneurial mentality to drive performance against agreed important metrics.
• 2-4 years of proven experience in planning, buying, merchandising, or category management in the retail or consumer products industry. E-commerce experience required.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$73,600 - $114,400

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
