Position Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Profile

Shipping/Receiving Associate verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments and assist in preparing items for shipment by quality and productivity standards.

Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for entering Inventory locations into Danieli’s ERP system.
• Ability to use smart phone to communicate with managers, colleagues and customers.
• Navigates through ERP system for inventory movements.
• Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, and discrepancies for reporting, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Works within usual/customary MS office software; i.e. Excel, Word, Project Management, Publisher, Danieli One World.
• Perform transactional activity in Danieli’s ERP system to prepare all necessary shipping documentation, invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, NAFTA certificate.
• Utilize the UPS, FEDEX, and DHL websites and other freight companies when needed.
• Maintains a relationship with the customers in order to identify their needs and evaluate business solutions and alternative strategies.
• Must be able to operator forklift and be forklift certified
• Examines shipment contents and compares with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
• Organize Outlook Personal folders to store specific email correspondence.
• Independently construct and build large container crates for shipping of large spare parts for the steel industry

Must Have's:

• Able to solve most technical issues with minimum direction
• Experienced at dealing with multiple activates with minimum direction
• Above average communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Independently build and construct shipping containters
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Related working experience in shipping and receiving
• High School Diploma/GED or Higher
• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills

Work Context and Physical Requirements:

• Work Conditions: Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Exposed to elevated noise levels and extreme heat and cold. Physical hazards - Close proximity to moving parts, hot surfaces, pinch points, sparks, sharp edges, high pressure air, oxygen and gas lines.
• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, carry, finger, grasp, feel, talk to communicate, speak over public address system, hear, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs
