Your Impact
As a Sensor Operator, you'll be an integral part of our team! You'll operate LIDAR systems, cameras, and other equipment remotely in the field to collect survey data from manned, fixed wing aircraft. You'll troubleshoot sensor problems in real-time, perform preventative maintenance on sensor equipment, and conduct field data checks following data collection to ensure adequate coverage. Plus, you'll get to operate in remote locations throughout the United States, with little daily supervision.
What You Bring
You've got good communication skills (oral and written) and strong organizational skills. You're also a whiz on the computer - you know windows, MS office, data handling, organization, and transfer like the back of your hand. You've got a passion for troubleshooting problems in the field, and basic knowledge of photography is desired but not required. You've got previous experience with technologically advanced equipment similar in nature to LIDAR and an ability to quickly become proficient in the use of such technology. You're able to operate independent of daily direction and overcome obstacles encountered during field work.
