As they continue to grow, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join their dynamic team and the supply chain operations to new heights.
Job Summary:
The Senior Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to distribution. This pivotal role will involve strategic planning, process improvement, team leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The Senior Supply Chain Manager will play a key role in driving cost reduction initiatives, enhancing inventory management, and supporting our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
Responsibilities:
· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives aligned with company objectives, ensuring the supply chain is agile, scalable, and responsive to market changes.
· Procurement and Supplier Management: Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and onboard reliable suppliers, negotiate favorable contracts, and maintain strong relationships to secure the best terms and pricing.
· Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor demand forecasts, and optimize stock levels to minimize carrying costs while meeting customer demand.
· Distribution and Logistics: Manage the distribution network, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers, optimizing transportation routes, and streamlining logistics processes.
· Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and increase overall productivity.
· Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and ethical practices throughout the supply chain.
· Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions to drive optimization.
· Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
· Sustainability and Social Responsibility: Champion sustainability initiatives, such as reducing waste, promoting ethical sourcing, and implementing environmentally friendly practices.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including production, sales, finance, and marketing, to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience (at least 5 years) in supply chain management, with increasing responsibility and a track record of successful performance.
· Knowledgeable in: Sage & MS Dynamics – MS Dynamics is only in Sales & CS right now, will get rolled out to Purchasing in September. IT Director is helping roll this out with the Operations Analyst.
· Manufacturing experience in high volume SKU
· Strong understanding of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
· Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, process improvement, and project management.
· Proficient in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
· Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
· A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
· Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Knowledge of sustainability practices and commitment to promoting social responsibility is a plus.
