Overview:
The Senior Plant Director, Integrated Supply Chain will lead our manufacturing World Class facility located in Colorado Springs, CO. With over 475M in revenue and 1200+ employees, we are one of the top employers in the market.

Reporting to the VP, Integrated Supply Chain and dotted line into the General Manger this role will plan, organize, staff, and direct all activities of the facility to achieve plant and sector goals for safety, quality, growth, profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction and employee engagement. This key role will also lead production and plant operations, supply chain and test, process and manufacturing engineering to ensure the effective utilization of resources.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate all plant functions including Manufacturing, Materials, Production Control, Purchasing, Planning, SIOP, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Shipping, Facilities, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) to assure common direction toward plant goals
  • Direct the submittal of the plant's Annual Operating Plan and business's financial forecasts and response plans
  • Lead through the Frontgrade Operating System (FOS)
  • Guide and support plant maintenance, facilities and Manufacturing Engineering improvements, process improvements, facility improvements and capital expenditures
  • Guide and support the plant quality system in procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction, DPPM (defective parts per million), first pass yield and warranty results
  • Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, high levels of morale, and employee engagement
  • Direct and guide the long-term product strategy for the manufacturing business
  • Guide and support the plant EH&S program in improvements, investigations, and corrective actions to meet and exceed Federal laws, standards, and policies
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment of goals and progress towards them along with short term and long term needs and plans
  • Guide and support plant resources in meeting material and labor productivity plans
  • Partners with the Operational Excellence team to ensure the effective development and delivery of programs to teach the workforce lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as problem solving, A3 thinking, leader as coaches, Kanban/pull systems, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, visual management, mistake proofing, 5S and cellular manufacturing
  • Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes and special instructions
  • Lead and support the development of plant employees and plant succession planning activities
Qualifications:
Minimum
  • Experience with implementing Lean culture in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing/plant operations leadership role, preferably as Plant Manager, Site Leader, of a medium sized manufacturing plant and high mix environment
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing strategic plans
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain Management
  • Leads and Drives the OPEX (Operational Excellence) culture in the plant
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline is required, MBA preferred
  • Customer oriented
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations required
  • Experience with Environmental Health and Safety
Preferred
  • 20 years of experience in manufacturing operations required and 10+ years in a manufacturing/plant operations leadership role, preferably as Plant Manager, Site Leader, of a medium sized manufacturing plant and high mix environment
Salary Range: $205,000 - $215,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
