About Our Client
My client is a company that focuses in he Personal Care industry. They work with high quality ingredients and ensure that all products are made from the best ingredients in the most productive manner.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of experimental procedures, results, and formulations in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Act as a technical expert and provide guidance and mentorship to junior chemists and lab technicians.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to personal care products.
• Conduct research, analyze market trends, and identify consumer needs to propose new product ideas and improvements to existing formulations.
• Lead the formulation development of personal care products, including skincare, hair care, and cosmetics, from concept to commercialization.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate the performance, stability, and safety of new formulations, utilizing various testing methodologies and techniques.
• Analyze and interpret data from laboratory experiments, literature, and external sources to make data-driven decisions and optimize product formulations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to ensure successful product development and launch.
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source raw materials and ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients for product development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to formulations, manufacturing processes, and quality control.

The Successful Applicant

• 3+ years of experience in a research and development role, preferably in the personal care industry.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and green chemistry principles in product development is a plus.
• Experience working with external vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers is desirable.
• Solid understanding of cosmetic regulations, industry standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) pertaining to personal care products.
• Strong expertise in formulation development and optimization of personal care products, including experience with emulsions, surfactants, polymers, and active ingredients.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, equipment, and analytical instrumentation used in formulation development and product evaluation.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
