Bachelor’s degree and 2 Years of Scientific Experience

Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry lab.

5+ years’ experience in a polymer R&D environment.

Experience with resin formulation development, particularly urethane-based chemistry.

4.Knowledge of use of PC software such as Microsoft Excel and Word; and ChemDraw is strongly desired.

5.Advanced analytical knowledge by having used instruments like the NMR, GC, HPLC and MS.

2.Develop scaleable synthetic processes that could eventually lead to commercialization.

3.Characterize, problem solve and interpret analytical data obtained from instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, MALDI, and NMR.

M.S. in Chemistry with 0-5 years industry experience or B.S. in Chemistry with over 5 years industry experience.

CGMP experience is a plus

Perform safe lab practices; comply with Site safety protocols and Site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Maintain a detailed lab notebook

Interpret data and make recommendations to management for improvement or potential concerns

Assist laboratory management with the preparation and execution of laboratory investigations/deviations and CAPA.

Strong analytical skills with experience using HPLC, GC and other lab equipment

Compare laboratory data against specifications, prepare reports, and trend data where applicable to determine if results meet requirements

Experience with Medical Devices and/or OTC consumer products

Independently perform method evaluation/development/validation/verification and troubleshooting instruments and improvement of processes

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to personal care products.

3+ years of experience in a research and development role, preferably in the personal care industry.

Strong expertise in formulation development and optimization of personal care products, including experience with emulsions, surfactants, polymers, and active ingredients.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information and recommendations to cross-functional teams.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal and project management skills

Partners with Marketing/CMI to develop robust CTQ requirements relative to consumer needs.

Examines program success requirements and drives path forward to achieve success in most timely and cost effective manner.

Participates in technical design reviews to ensure products are designed to specifications and will meet product safety requirements

Implements knowledge of product development, color theory, organic/polymer systems to develop test protocols to conduct product validation.

Utilizes knowledge of Organic/Polymer Chemistry to develop and deliver product solutions.

Proficient in data recording, analysis, interpretation, and management

Evaluates potential risks and benefits of different approaches and advises projects to use Metabolomics resources most effectively and efficiently

Experience with operating mass spectrometers and related instrumentation

Experience with quantitative data analysis (e.g. linear regression)

Experience with modern data acquisition and analysis software

Strong communication skills to present scientific results clearly and concisely

Experience in Data Management and Data Analytics

Performs formulation and testing activities to meet established project objectives. Effective project management via use of the Product Development Process

5+ years of experience in formulations of industrial chemicals

Experience interfacing with internal and external customers

Participates in technical and/or project reviews and presents findings as appropriate for internal and external audiences

Build relationships and be the primary technical resource for formulation questions for supported OEMs

Direct, hands-on experimental experience in analyzing complex solutions

Effective oral and written communication skills

Characterize and analyze small molecule residuals resulting from the development of porous polymers

Analyze newly generated research materials using chromatography methods (GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS), NMR, DSC/TGA, FTIR, and porosimetry

Develop, set up and validate new analytical or related processes

Record, analyze, and interpret experimental results

Experience managing fragrance development with suppliers, and Product Development. Oversees safe and orderly laboratory. Working Hybrid Remote/Inhouse Lab

Can manage workload effectively with defined agreement on total number of active formulations

Experienced at least 7+ years in the laboratory environment, ideally supporting a brand in CPG industry

Experience in leadership role within R&D

Knowledgeable and considers the importance of processing, operating, and design factors that affect skincare and haircare formulations

Strong experience crafting technical solutions for formula and process development

Effective remote collaboration capabilities; ability to work on-site at least two days/week preferred.

Preferred Education: Degree in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.

Write technical reports, specifications, and oversee requirements management for engineering excellence activities within area of subject matter expertise.
