Senior Quality Engineer - Alabama

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:

- Developing and implementing quality control systems and procedures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations.

- Conducting quality audits and inspections to identify any defects, non-conformities, or areas for improvement.

- Analyzing data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.

- Designing and implementing testing protocols and procedures to validate product performance and quality.

- Developing and maintaining quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of quality control systems and identify areas for improvement.

- Developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on quality control systems and procedures.

- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

- Minimum of (5) year of Quality Engineering experience with minimum of (2) year supervisory/management experience

- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

- Proficiency in use of statistical, analytical tools

- Proficiency in use of FMEAs, Control Plans, and Risk Assessments

- Proficiency in use of RCAs and DOEs

- Certified Internal Auditor

- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, required and ISO 13485, preferred

- Facilitation and listening skills are a must

- Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels

- Ability to influence management on courses of action with minimal assistance through written and verbal communication
