Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Stepan Co. is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our Leadership team in our Manufacturing facility in Pasadena, TX, reporting to the Regional QA Manager. This position will be responsible for quality of products and services by driving quality assurance and control, operational and compliance excellence, and continuous improvement philosophies throughout the line organization. The candidate will integrate key practices into the manufacturing foundation to meet internal and external customer expectations and represent the “Voice of the Customer”. The candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a new plant build and start-up.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management and organization skills
• Experience leading teams and working with customers
• SQC, SPC, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing in chemical industry (surfactants and person care product manufacturing preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and to manage cross functional teams
• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience in troubleshooting difficult problems in a plant environment
• Knowledge and experience with implementation, maintenance, and audit of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry required (Master’s Degree preferred)
