Job Description

Title: QA Tester

Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 24-month contract


  • Assists Test Lead / Manager to generate accurate and clear project status reports
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for testing facilitators, executors, and validators, and demonstrates a high level of accountability and responsibility in the Investment Ops area.
  • Proficient in database query languages such as SQL; Manages and directs the test team s work products and processes
  • Interfaces with Test Lead and Business Analysis team to understand business requirements for test case review sessions and compliance.
  • Develops test Cases, creates test data, executes complex test cases, documents defects, generates rest metrics and tracks defects to resolution
  • Improves test quality and effectiveness by working with Development and Project Management teams to make the product more acceptable
  • Demonstrates superior testing or management techniques and has experience working within the same industry and application
  • Conducts a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses with full competency to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards
  • Responsible for assisting team leadership/management for analysis, design and development of test and project plans on high-risk systems
  • Manages test environment, resources, issues, bugs and escalation to proper channel
  • Documents defects and generates test metrics. Tracks defects to resolution within defined timeframe
  • Writes user stories for test cases of medium to high complexity. Possesses expertise in writing complex database queries

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in QA Testing in a banking/finance environment
  • Experience in Salesforce preferred
