Our fast-growing team in the UK is looking for a passionate and engaged QA/Test Engineer to join our Andover based Agile engineering team building our leading cloud based payroll platform.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
  • Determine test strategy
  • Root cause analysis for the bug, communicating the technical details to developers and execute web applications performance testing suites
  • Explore, research about internationally recognized Software Testing tools/process in the market and help team to evolve accordingly
  • Maintain automated test suites to ensure they are reliable and execute on the agreed cadence
  • Work and collaborate with Agile team to ensure the quality of product and for functional and technical impact analysis and identify regression scope. Undertaking manual and automated testing as necessary
  • Support execution of automated scripts, analyse the automation failures and report bugs
  • Leading and participating in the maintenance and versioning of test scripts, including the supervision of other test engineers on a day to day basis
  • Design and develop repeatable, data-driven automated test script using Katalon Studio and API automation test scripts for products
Attributes and Experience Required:
  • Minimum 4 year experience in manual Software Testing and Automated Testing
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Committed to continued professional development. Will be able to describe the latest tools and techniques in the Software testing industry; will be able to describe how new tools and testing approaches are learnt
  • The ability to develop automation framework from scratch is an advantage
  • The ability to code in Java or Groovy is a must with mid level programming skills
  • Desirable: Experience of functional testing, especially performance, accessibility and security
  • Ability to analyse requirements both from a testing and end user point of view to derive test scenarios and test cases
  • Experience work with international teams using collaboration tools such as JIRA, BitBucket, Slack, Teams and Confluence
  • Experience creating test suites that can run in continuous integration pipelines, exposure to creating/maintaining Bamboo or Jenkins would be a distinct advantage
  • Degree in a Technical or Scientific discipline; preferably software relevant. Non degree holders should still apply provided they have equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to investigate potential defects to determine the root cause and direct the code engineers to the defective component
  • ISTQB Certification
  • Experience in UI test automation using tools, for example Selenium, Web Driver or Katalon Studio
  • Highly capable in working in a team; self-motivated and can prioritise workload
