The WebstaurantStore, a leader in supporting the food service industry for two decades is looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our growing company. This is a “Junior-Level” position with room to grow and advance your career towards our Mid and Senior Engineer positions. 3+ years' experience is expected for this role.

As a Junior QA Engineer for the Internal Applications Team, you will be:
- Working with peers both onsite and remotely.
- Following established coding standards to work within our Automation Framework to test custom applications.
- Creating and updating existing QA documentation
- Troubleshooting and triaging issues with multiple teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
- Running System, Integration and UI testing on multiple web-based products and platforms
- Following Agile Methodology to test and complete a task.
- Working closely with Development, Business Analysts and Product Owners to ensure project success.
We are looking for a driven, motivated candidate who MUST have:
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- Ability to use both Manual and Automation testing skills to support an application.
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Able to edit/fix existing common code.
- Be able to accommodate Eastern Time Zone work hours.
- Understanding of QA practices (white and black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices).
- Capable of performing Peer Reviews for QA Engineer Coding and following Established processes
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QA Role (At least 2 in Coding Java or Groovy).
- Web and mobile testing experience
- A good understanding of multiple software testing methodologies
- Capable of assessing Project risk and giving fair estimate of work.
- Proven ability to write clear and concise test cases
- Ability to work with a majority remote team.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to expand on usable Business Requirements (Acceptance Criteria)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to automate tests of intermediate difficulty.
Bonus points if the candidate also has:
- Automation experience
- Some knowledge of troubleshooting, diagnosing issues at a high level and basic computing logic (programming)
- Some working knowledge or experience in automation or programming
- Willingness to train/mentor junior team members
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment
- TFS/VSTS/ADO experience
