(Senior) Project Manager - EPC High Voltage Substations - Houston, TX

Gryphon Oakwood are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to join an exciting and rapidly growing EPC Contractor. The client is looking for an experienced PM Project Manager to lead, coordinate and oversee the design and construction of high voltage substations. This will include interfacing with the client to gain approvals and updates, supporting the procurement activity and leading a team to ensure site activity follows agreed time frames, budget, and quality.

Key duties:

• Provide robust project management skills in work planning, engineering design, procurement, resource allocation, client approval, and dispute resolution
• Ensure the contractual agreements are adhered to throughout the project and mitigate any issues
• Provide stakeholder management and communicate detailed project updates to the client and internal organisation.
• Lead all client interface activities and ownership of deliverables in relation to the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical substations.
• Have a hands-on mindset ready to motivate, drive and problem solve project activity.
• Provide oversight of subcontractor selection and deliverables, coordinating various work packages and HSE requirements.

Requirements:

• Project Management related qualification or training is desirable
• Proven experience with stakeholder management, commercial management and client interfacing
• Degree or master's in engineering (Electrical, mechanical), construction or business-related field
• 5-10 years work experience in HV substation installation & construction sector
• 3+ years Project Management experience on projects +$5M (EPC)
