Job Description

Summary of Position

The Director, Product Management, Content Supply Chain is responsible for creating and maintaining a cohesive vision for the various products used throughout STARZ Programming Operations. This role manages a team of Product Managers and Designers who own the full product lifecycle from shepherding project requests into Intake through Prioritization, into Discovery, and finally through User Acceptance after Development.

In collaboration with the Director of Content Supply Chain Product, Design and Delivery, this role ensures the product vision is supported by Executives, Business Users, Development Leads, Product Managers and Delivery Managers. This role requires a passion for taking complex interconnected systems and breaking them down into intuitive process flows and clear, concise project requirements to be used for building and enhancing the internal tools that STARZ uses to process content. Product management planning, roadmapping and meeting facilitation abilities are paramount in order to lead the team in defining and documenting the current and future uses of Content Engineering applications and system processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and update flow diagrams, requirements and roadmaps in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Communicate status to the broader organization by acting as a reliable voice of the team to stakeholders that are vested in the team’s product strategy and delivery.
  • Collaborate to develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap that details the sequence, progress and impact of product development initiatives and enhancements.
  • Create Feature/Project Presentations to be presented to executives, business users and project teams.
  • Coordinate the documentation and prioritization of work deemed out of scope for current projects, so that they might be considered for future projects.
  • Provide leadership, direction and contribute to the overall growth of the team.
  • Create and maintain the backlog of feature priorities and ongoing initiatives that support business and technology goals by translating product requests into JIRA projects with well defined requirements, scope, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
  • Actively collaborate with team members and across STARZ to achieve business goals.
  • Manage the process to intake and prioritize new feature and project requests.
  • Consistently work to gain buy-in and consensus from various stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Manage UX team capacity and resource allocations for feature definition.
  • Continually evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate scoping sessions to define high level requirements for new product features.
  • Collaborate to develop reporting and analysis to monitor product progression, identify areas of improvement, influence organizational direction, and define strategy.
  • Lead feature planning, roadmapping, and backlog management of numerous feature requests to determine need, priority and dependencies.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience creating process flows, roadmaps, and systems diagrams.
  • Ability to establish a deep understanding of the product, project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
  • Leads efficient meetings with clear agendas, discussion points and outcomes.
  • Experience managing and supporting director reports.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to think beyond day-to-day activities and apply systems-level thinking.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, Lucid Charts, Figma and Miro.
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to address time sensitive demands on a continuous basis.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. Creates an environment of mutual influence and possesses the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Ability to identify next steps in completing tasks that deliver results in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, product design or related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.

Compensation

$142,200 - $170,000
