OVERVIEW:

DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center in East Point, GA has an opening for a Manager of Maintenance. This role is responsible for all interior and exterior maintenance aspects of the distribution center including janitorial, housekeeping, technical, automation, material handling equipment, the overall conveyor system, and all base building aspects including parking lots, truck yard, HVAC, fire protection, and all shared systems between both operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Create and sustain a positive work environment for team members
• Ensure proper preventive maintenance is tracked utilizing CMMS. Manage maintenance costs to ensure the budgeting process is accurate and the department meets the business requirements.
• Provide for the continuous development of team members through training, coaching, monitoring and problem solving
• Will be responsible for the operating budget (both capital and expense)
• Facilitate and coordinate services with outside vendors and contractors to ensure that they are complying with safety and security standards
• Coordinate maintenance activities with departmental managers for needed repairs
• Manage the building grounds, landscaping and snow removal
• Collaborate with safety specialist on all related issues and projects
• Provide for a safe environment for all personnel, ensure all safety requirements and regulations are being adhered to
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports and paper work associated with the maintenance operation
• Communicate regularly with all maintenance/janitorial personnel, both individually and as a group
• Capital budget responsibility of $500,000+
• Hire, train and conduct regular performance evaluation
• Ensure facility is up to date and all OSHA requirements are adhered to

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and experience of Programmable Logic Controls
• 5-7 year Maintenance Supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of Lockout/Tag out procedures
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Understanding preventive/predictive and corrective principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of a computerized maintenance program – Previous and proven work experience with conveyors
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations
