Senior Mechanical Engineer Jobs

What you’ll do:

• Designing precision motion stages and components, electromechanical system parts and
• Unit and system testing of prototype designs.
• Building prototypes.
• Assemblies in a CAD environment. SolidWorks preferred.
• Documentation as per FDA and Company SOP requirements.
• Generating drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Writing and updating work instructions per production and quality feedback.
• Finding and managing vendors for prototyping and manufacturing.
• Creating test fixtures including instrumenting with data acquisition systems and programming.
• Supporting production for method sheet creation, tooling, and process qualification.
• Supporting production tasks, such as inspections, trouble-shooting assemblies and testing.
• Mentoring junior engineers to help in their growth and development.
• Modeling and simulation of design components, such as dynamic system modeling, kinematic modeling, structural, and thermal analysis.
• Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Experience with large assembly models
• Design experience with custom flexible features such as spring
• Ability to plan, prepare and perform all aspects of product development from ideation to modeling to make production-level drawings, testing, and production ramp-up
• Exposure to software such as Python, MATLAB, C++, HTML
• Ability to project manage large assembly projects from concept to production
• BSc. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering or in an equivalent area
• Proven design record
• Understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and design for PCB fixturing and enclosures
• Experience with troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems
• Design experience for gantry systems and motion systems
• Competency in designing large electromechanical systems
• Analytical problem-solving skills, such as modeling and simulations
• Understanding of Linux systems and comfortable with utilizing in-house software for testing and debugging
• 3+ years of experience in the field
