Draper is seeking mechanical CAD professionals who can design fixturing & test equipment and generate and review complex mechanical system documentation. Draper works primarily on U.S. Government-funded programs, and the ideal candidate should have significant experience with developing technical data packages according to the principles laid out in MIL-STD-31000, including expertise in ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning & tolerancing and Product Lifecycle Management. Experience with SolidWorks and/or CREO is a must. Experience with the 3DX Product Lifecycle Management tool is strongly preferred.

Candidates will be asked to support a number of projects at any given time and must possess strong organization, planning and time management skills. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members and program leadership, including non-technical personnel. Candidates will also be expected to support development and implementation of best practices related to mechanical CAD and to serve as a mentor to junior staff.

This is a remote position. Applicants selected for this position may need to be onsite occasionally in support of programs.
