Job Description

The Senior Manager, HRBP, will be a trusted advisor to the business and functional leaders. In this role, the Senior Manager, HRBP will provide HR business support which includes: design, learning and development, employee relations, talent management, change management and compensation. The successful candidate will also serve as a forward-thinking leader, responsible for identifying, developing and implementing key human resources initiatives that will substantially enhance the success of our business.

The Senior Manager, HRBP will demonstrate sound moral character and judgment: decisions come from a fact-based and informed position. S/he will possess outstanding skills of influence and diplomacy and shall be challenging, courageous and inspiring. You Also Have:


  • Demonstrated strategic thinking: able to envision, distill, communicate, develop and implement short and long-term human resource/change management initiatives.
  • Verifiable track record of success partnering with senior leaders, serving as a credible and trusted resource.
  • Previous HR Generalist experience in a Warehouse or Distribution center is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of Human Resources experience in a tech start-up, creative, retail, or brand-focused environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree


As The Sr. Manager, HRBP, You Will:


  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, fostering and maintaining employee relationships through coaching and advising, as well as building consistency and compliance into daily HR related processes.
  • Guide management through organizational development and change management initiatives including organization design, evolution, development, restructuring, etc.
  • Partner with management to resolve employee relation issues; provide coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with Employee Relations team on issues as appropriate.
  • Support the talent review process to ensure consistent and fair decisions are made in regards to compensation; provide training and counseling on the overall talent process.
  • Identify strategic initiatives and partner on the design and execution of solutions.
  • Build relationships with staff at all levels; assure that new associates integrate effectively into the organization.
  • Actively pursue knowledge of Saks OFF 5TH business practices, policies, organization structure, roles and responsibilities to better understand the business.
  • Diagnose opportunities for learning and development programs; develop and facilitate organization-specific training sessions; partner with Learning and Development to assess training effectiveness


The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $130,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
