Location Description


Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities


JOB OVERVIEW:


The CC Team serves as a critical conduit between Brand Marketing, Brand Commercialization, and the Field Sales Team. The Senior Lead CC position owns the Joint Business Planning (JBP) for customers to enable category and customer growth and represents customer strategies to key internal constituents. They will also translate National Go to Market Strategies (GTMS) into customer specific activation and incorporate SBA targets into customer level quotas and budgets.


We have three openings: one will support the Dollar team, one will support Target/Kroger/Meijer teams, and one will support the eCommerce/Pet Specialty team.


  • This role is based in Minneapolis with 25% travel to Ohio. Role may also be based in Cleveland OH metro area with relocation to Minneapolis possibly required after 1 year+.
  • Consideration may be given for employees located near major support customers – NW Arkansas, Nashville, Tampa, Phoenix, or Cincinnati with up to 25% travel required.


Position Summary


  • Owns Joint Business Planning (JBP) for customers to enable category and customer growth. Represents customer strategies to key internal constituents. Translates National brand strategies into customer specific activation. Develop customer level plans, budgets, and profit goals tied to customer JBP.


Job Responsibilities


Run Joint Customer Business planning
  • Execute against plan and monitor results against objectives (volume, spending, profit)
  • Tailor business drivers to meet customer key initiatives and growth drivers
  • Assist customer teams with Customer Strategic Plan build, roll-up and review
  • Coordinate with internal functions to drive the customer planning process with key customers
  • Develop and communicate customer roles and strategies within the SBA
  • Lead key customer planning activities internally – line reviews, innovation meetings, JBP and Top-to-Top meetings


Identify demand-creating solutions for customer-specific execution with the goal of achieving SBA plans


  • Validate assumptions against key metrics (ROI, on strategy, etc)
  • Coordinate with necessary internal functions (RGM, Customer Finance, etc)


Develop internal customer plans, budgets, and profit goals tied to JBP


  • Work cross functionally to validate inputs and assumptions and track progress against plan
  • Own final approval of customer specific plan


Qualifications


Education


Bachelor’s degree required


Experience


  • 7+ years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
  • Customer/sales facing experience is required
  • Experience in Spotfire, Tableau, CAS or similar platforms is preferred
  • Previous experience and demonstrated understanding of an accrual-based trade system
  • Previous experience with JBP process is required


Skills


  • Strong story telling skills utilizing syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen) or customer specific data is required
  • Ability to work with cross-functional partners to drive business results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
  • Excellent organization and written / verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple / diverse projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer strategies and retail environment
