The Senior Manager of Clearinghouse Operations leads a multi-functional set of teams responsible for the integration and maintenance of payer/provider connections, EDI Enrollment, and file delivery. The primary focus for this role is to organize work, prioritize issues, and ensure the timely and quality delivery of Availity’s healthcare transactions for health plans, trading partners, and providers. This includes leading separate teams responsible for each component of delivery and onboarding. This position works directly with clients and leadership at various levels of the organization. This individual will also be expected to create a strategy that helps the company gain a competitive advantage in the market and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the growth of Availity’s Healthcare Network.

To be qualified for this position you:
  • Experience managing budget and cost related activities for multiple teams
  • 8 years of healthcare and/or IT related experience
  • Knowledge of the health care industry, specifically administrative transactions (ANSI X12), processing systems, and revenue cycle management is preferred
  • Strong proven leadership, coaching and mentoring multiple teams
  • Ability to lead and influence others in a dynamic and changing team environment
  • Proven track record in building out a strategic vision as well as KPI’s
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships (internal and external), supporting the strategic initiatives of Availity
  • Strong accountability for individual and team performance
  • Ability to drive technical automation and seek continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work and make sound decisions independently with minimal guidance
  • Demonstrated leadership integrating multiple operations teams focused on a common goal or shared services
  • Ability to lead and report on multiple projects managed by others and work multiple assignments concurrently
  • Strong presentation skills
You will set yourself apart with:
  • EDI ANSI X12 and healthcare revenue cycle management experience
You will be:
  • Owning all daily operations decisions within the Clearinghouse Operations Team
  • Defining what strategic initiatives are prioritized based on capacity, cost, timing, and other measures to ensure teams success
  • Setting the strategic vision for the Clearinghouse Operations Team and improve the operating models and SLA's
  • Serving as the escalation contact for the teams’ critical issues
  • Daily monitoring and responsibility for KPIs for the Clearinghouse Operations team
  • Supporting the enterprise build or maintain payer connectivity in the most cost-effective manner
  • Properly staffing and professionally developing your leadership team and others
  • Coaching and mentoring direct leadership reports and team members
  • Providing support and optimization for EDI enrollment, payer connectivity (build and maintenance), and file delivery
  • Overseeing the budget, expense management, forecasting and hiring and strategic planning needs of the Availity Clearinghouse Operations team
  • Presenting to strategic initiatives or critical updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Interacting and engaging with Product Management, Technology, Account Management, and other operations teams to achieve defined service levels
