Senior Landman- Non-Operated Jobs

Southwestern Energy is searching for a Senior Landman (Non-Operated) to join our Haynesville Land Team.

As a Senior Landman you will manage the Non-Operated Haynesville properties and the SWN mineral positions throughout the lower 48. Limited travel, as needed. This position reports directly to the Land Manager, and is located at our headquarters in Spring, Texas.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

• Review and monitor broker billings and statements
• Maintain producing leases and co-owner relationships
• Negotiate leases on company owned minerals across the Lower 48
• Secure the examinations of titles, resolving defects, and settle damage claims
• Complete and facilitate all phases of complex transactions relating to divestiture of non-operated AFEs
• Perform due diligence relating to acquisitions and divestitures, as well as title curative work.
• Continuously review exposure to acquisition and divestiture activities
• Check public records to verify land descriptions, determine fees and lease ownerships; obtain documents and data and titles on leases and royalties
• Have strong PC skills, including MS Office Suite, ARCMAP/GIS knowledge helpful

Your Background Includes

• Management of mineral positions
• A minimum of five (5) years of in-house experience working with broad based exploration and development projects.
• Negotiation of oil and gas leases and direct field landmen.
• Must be able to negotiate and prepare various letter agreements and formal agreements needed for drilling activities.
• Experience in working with field brokers conducting leasing activities, specifically Non Operated properties
• Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Business or a related field or Law Degree (J.D.) from an accredited Law school
• Technical understanding of oil and gas lease forms, Pooling/Unitization Agreements, Operating Agreements, Farmout Agreements, and various negotiable contracts typically used in exploration activities a must.
