We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will be responsible for assisting in the efficient planning, collection, analysis and development of PowerBI reports for specific client projects. This role will be client facing and you will act as a consultant at our growing organization. In this role for at least the initial 6 months, you will be required to be on site at client locations in either Chicago or Downers Grove, whichever you prefer. Job Responsibilities
  • Identify, clean, and combine data to solve relevant business problems
  • Build PowerBI environments and reports
  • Lead the creation of reports and dashboards for business projects
  • Transform data into meaningful insight and recommendations for business partners from various areas and companies, including but not limited to the Executive and Sales teams
  • Work with other members of Data Analytics team to develop business workflows that will help make better decisions and be more efficient
  • Identify trends and opportunities within data and reports
  • Coordinate development of test data, system testing, and documentation for all phases of our data migration processes (ETL)
  • Consult with business stakeholders to suggest and solve problems based on data analysis.
  • Elicit and gather business requirements from stakeholders / users
  • Create process and best practices for reporting structures
Job Requirements
Candidate must have the following:
  • Experience with SQL queries to retrieve data
  • Strong PowerBI and DAX report building skills
  • 5-8 years of experience in data analysis using query tools required
  • An understanding of statistical and predictive modeling techniques and concepts
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate to technical specifications
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
  • Experience with dashboard reporting
  • Ability to work on a team and manage individual prioritized workload
  • Strong analytic/problem-solving, documentation, and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of any ETL Tool e.g. SSIS is a plus
  • A desire to learn new things and an ability to adapt to change and innovation
