Everline Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced Senior Event Planning Manager to join our fun and exciting Event team. The Senior Event Planning manager's primary focus is servicing Sales bookings. This position acts as the liaison between our Meeting Planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks, group pick up, providing billing instructions and final bill review. Event Planning Managers also are the on-site contact and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events. We are seeking candidates with meeting planning experience with a passion of detailing and servicing events, conducting hotel tours, tastings, menu planning. Duties also include facilitating communication during and post event with pertinent hotel staff and clients to ensure a high level of service is achieved. Other duties will include assisting with event systems management, staff training and acting as a department lead.
The salary range for this position is $97,100 to $150,000. This is the pay range for this position that Everline Resort & Spa reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
Qualifications
- Manage meeting space and adjust in order to ensure maximum potential revenue
- Understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
- Must be experienced in general computer knowledge
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to exceed standards and expectations
- Knowledge of meeting room set-ups and capabilities, sleeping room configurations and types
- Responsible for increasing overall revenue per attendee by upselling techniques, rooms management strategies, value added offerings and other creative methods
- Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of five years of hotel experience or food & beverage experience
- Present a professional appearance and confidence
- Engage with meeting planners, outside vendors, and onsite set-up details for events
- Timely follow up with internal and external clients
- Strong time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well under pressure
- Maintain price integrity both in rooms and food and beverage
- Have comprehensive knowledge of all operational departments within the hotel; guest services, reservations, housekeeping, audio visual, banquets, accounting, restaurants and engineering
- Candidates should be extremely detailed oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment
