ActivePro is seeking a Senior Director of People and Culture who will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies and activities of the organization. This individual maintains employee relations and cultivates a culture that promotes productivity, creativity, innovation, and growth within ActivePro. They will improve the quality of the workplace environment and take a people-centric approach to their duties.


Position Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director provides leadership, inspiration, and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. This is an opportunity to work with leadership to define, brand, and promote the work culture of this join a fast-growing company. The Senior Director will frequently interface with members of the leadership team and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating an integrated approach to initiatives involving Human Resources and the operational functions of ActivePro. The Sr. Director guides the organization’s Human Resources practices policies, and programs that support and align with the mission and strategy of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals & identify ways to support this mission through talent management.
  • Drive the process that will continue to define and create strategies to communicate ActivePro’s organizational culture, goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that ActivePro is an equitable and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and can thrive through trainings, coaching, and overall strategy and practice.
  • Communicates the company’s culture goals through internal communications, staff meetings, and one-on-ones with various employee layers and departments.
  • Supervise and provide guidance and leadership to the human resource team, consisting of two full-time employees with the opportunity add additional headcount in the future.
  • Using a proactive approach, identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for the organization's human resource and talent management functions, and then assess the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Responsible for creating, applying, and evaluating best practice human resources policies & procedures, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.


Job Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring and motivating staff with a servant leadership style.
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to change and pivot priorities based on the needs of the organization.
  • Five to seven years of human resource experience with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
  • Creative and entrepreneurial mindset resulting in ideas being brought forward to leadership.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills- both oral and written. Ability to send communications to individuals and large groups with the audience in mind to meet goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of working collaboratively to achieve goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Analytical aptitude, with experience assessing data for strategic purposes.
