Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Develop and deliver recommendations to Senior Management
  • Work closely with leaders in legal, government relations, finance, investor relations and other departments to ensure that processes and agreements are handled appropriately and effectively
  • Identify new processes, procedures, and systems to improve productivity and efficiency for the strategic transaction process
  • Contribute to the development and execution of CDI’s strategy and growth initiatives (e.g., brainstorming “investible ideas” that may be outside the scope of the current business but utilize skills that reside within the company or are adjacent to existing lines of business)
  • Provide leading role in deal structuring, negotiation, and completion of corporate development transactions, including both traditional merger & acquisition deals and non-standard, complex commercial arrangements (e.g., joint venture agreements)
  • Develop, evolve, and communicate efficient and effective frameworks by which to identify, evaluate, and pursue potential opportunities for CDI to continue to improve and grow its competitive position within the gaming business
  • Manage due diligence, financial modeling, and feasibility analysis of potential corporate development transactions
  • Establish market and competitive analysis capabilities to constantly stay ahead of trends in and around the industry; act as a resource to business units to develop robust strategic planning tools and skills to help Senior Management in evaluating growth opportunities
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute potential corporate development opportunities including acquisitions, gaming/racing greenfield projects, partnerships, new business concepts, and other growth initiatives


Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Lead broad cross-functional teams on an ad hoc basis


EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • Shows initiative; a “take it and run with it” mentality
  • 5-10 years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity or transaction execution
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Experienced in structuring and negotiating transactions, leading transaction project teams
  • MBA or JD preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new growth initiatives and “investible ideas”
  • Strong quantitative, qualitative, and analytical ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into a defined “map” or universe of potential opportunities which can be continuously monitored and evaluated for strategic fit and attainability
  • Technology and/or gaming industry experience a plus


Travel


Position will require travel on periodic basis
