Senior Director Of Communications

Based in Flamboyan’s Washington, DC office, the Senior Director of Communications (SD) is responsible for developing and implementing Flamboyan’s communications strategy, including a broad range of activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization. As the Communications Team’s lead writer and engagement specialist, the SD will grow Flamboyan’s profile through multi-platform content creation, expand engagement among our audiences, and identify opportunities for Flamboyan to drive public narratives. The SD will serve as Flamboyan’s in-house expert on telling compelling stories of the Foundation’s work, equity-driving impact, and strategizing on how to maximize our digital presence through strong communications planning. The person in this role is comfortable with proactively bringing ideas and pitches to the table, and then figuring out how to make them happen. They partner with their Communications teammates and colleagues across the organization to ensure our work is on message, on brand, and resonates with our stakeholders.
